Trianco Electric Boilers

Trianco (TR Enginerring) has a renowned pedigree for supplying sophisticated oil fired and solid fuel boilers for the domestic market – a natural extension of pioneering range cooker development in the early nineteenth century.

It was a logical step therefore to combine this expertise with the application of modern technology to launch the Aztec electric boiler range, now brought to you by TR Engineering.  Aztec Classic electric boilers are wall mounted systems designed with practicality in mind – suitable for just about any application in any type of property.

Fitted vertically and only requiring front access for servicing, the aztec classic is compact in size from 143mm deep x 165mm wide to between 550mm and 1080mm high, meaning they can be installed in the smallest of spaces.

Once switched on, the Aztec is fully controlled by a solid state management system which automatically monitors its safety and running functions. Designed to work on a fully pumped wet system, these boilers produce hot water by passing cold water over long life replaceable elements housed in an insulated stainless steel heat exchanger. If you need to heat a house, flat, mobile home or apartment efficiently and effectively, the Aztec Classic has it all.

The Trianco Aztec Classic Electric Boiler is ideal for application where gas or oil are unavailable. The Trianco electric boilers can be linked together in any combination to provide you with larger outputs.

One example of the new range is the Trianco Aztec Classic Electric Boiler 9kw TRI-9 which has a temperature output that varies from 50°C - 75°C to supply all form of heating from under floor to conventional radiators.

The Trianco Aztec Classic Electric Boiler 9kw TRI-9 requires no flue or fuel supply tank and release no noxious gasses. The Trianco Aztec TRI-9 offers a 99.8% efficiency rate and is virtually maintenance free. The Trianco Classic Electric Boiler TRI-9 also has individual stainless steel elements that are self diagnostic checking that that soft switch to preserve the life of the element and prevent interference.

Heatrae Megaflo Hot Water Cylinder Review

Heatrae Megaflo Cylinder from Direct Heating Supplies

Heatrae Megaflo Cylinder from Direct Heating Supplies

A Heatrae Megaflo Hot Water Cylinder Review for today. In our current time, we use more hot water than ever before. With our homes having more showers, baths and basins, hot water is both a necessity and a  pleasure. But with the demands of rising energy prices and environmental issues, we need to strike a balance – a balance that gives us performance and reliability along with economy and responsibility. Utilising advanced technology Megaflo eco is widely regarded as the leader in unvented domestic water heating. Designed to perform faultlessly whilst minimising heat loss to maximise efficiency, it understands the balance we have to make.  So, maybe it’s time to think again, maybe you should consider a brand new high-tech hot water system. One like Megaflo eco.

  • Constructed in Duplex stainless steel for maximum strength – pressure tested to 15 bar.
  • Patented internal floating baffle system to accommodate water expansion.
  • No anode – eliminates costly anode maintenance.
  • Insulated casing for the temperature and pressure relief valve to minimise heat loss.  Unique ‘L-shaped’ long-life Superloy immersion heater reaches deeper into the tank giving more hot water.
  • Titanium immersions as standard on all direct models.
  • Patented cold water inlet diffuser minimises mixing of cold and hot water.
  • High performance ‘coil-in-coil’ heat exchanger.
  • Exceeds CHeSS* Best Practice for recovery times and insulation.
  • Improved insulation for maximum heat retention.
  • New water inlet controls increase flow rates by up to 20%.
  • Improved performance at low pressures down to 1 bar.
  • Installer friendly design.
  • Complies with future European Energy Using Products Directive.
  • New splash-proof IPX4-rated wiring centre gives greater choice of installation location.

Our new Megaflo eco range is the best choice for conserving energy while providing superior performance.

Cylinder construction
Heatrae Megaflo Cylinders are made of Duplex stainless steel, which offers a superior resistance to corrosion especially in aggressive water areas, compared with some grades of stainless steel, glass-lined steel and copper. Because Duplex is a low carbon, high chromium content alloy, it resists all forms of corrosion including pitting, crevice corrosion, uniform corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, without the use of a sacrificial anode. In addition, the tungsten inert gas welding coupled with the special post weld processes ensures the welded area has the same level of corrosion resistance and mechanical strength
as the parent metal.

This ensures the longest possible working life for every cylinder. The combination of its lightweight yet very strong construction makes Megaflo eco easier to handle on site. Every unit is pressure tested in the factory to 15 bar – five times the normal operating pressure – making Megaflo eco suitable for all domestic and commercial applications. No sacrificial anode is required with Megaflo eco. With inferior grades of stainless steel, glass-lined steel and copper, sacrificial anodes are required to achieve a degree of corrosion resistance. However they require regular replacement which, if not carried out can result in premature cylinder failure. Megaflo eco overcomes any need for this by using top quality Duplex stainless steel.

Heatrae Megaflo Cylinders are available  from Direct Heating Supplies in the UK.

£3000 towards a new boiler!

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Have an old boiler sitting in the house making a noise, gathering dust and probably giving out a bit of a pungent smell? Put it altogether and you probably try to ignore the fact one exists in your home, as you don’t want to have to deal with the hassle and costs involved of replacing it.

Well, why not find out how old your boiler is, after all you could just be in with a chance to win £3000 to go towards a new one!

A search has begun in Britain to find the oldest working boiler with a £3000 prize at stake to go towards a new high energy efficient boiler. The current oldest boiler that has been found is 32 years old and can be found in Alnwick.

Sometimes boilers can really last a lot longer than you might think, with this 32 year old boiler out living the 24 year marriage of the owners. And now they are first in line to win the prize unless an older boiler can be found in Britain.

Npower who were inspired to launch this ‘treasure hunt’ have overseen many removals of very old, ancient boilers since the Government boiler scrappage scheme had been introduced.

The Head of Sales at Npower, Richard Cotton said that: “In our search for Britain’s oldest boiler, we’ve already uncovered many boilers more than 30 years old, with some families owning boilers that are older than their grown-up children and in some cases, as with this boiler in Northumberland, older than their marriage.”

Think you could be in with a chance with your old boiler? Find out how to enter by emailing kate.dawson@europe.mccann.com
