Baxi are one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of boilers, helping to provide central heating and hot water to households and offices across the UK and beyond. They are a recognised source of innovative central heating solutions, with a focus on quality products that meet the requirements of the consumer.
History of Baxi
Baxi was founded in 1866 by ironmonger Richard Baxendale. The first product was launched 5 years later in the form of a controllable under floor heating system. Over the next 3 decades, Baxi started putting their efforts into the domestic heating industry, particularly gas fuelled central heating systems.
This effort paid off and it was the launch of Baxi’s first flagship product, the space efficient Bermuda Boiler in the 1960s that really saw the brand start to grow. This helped lead to the release of the more space efficient Baxi Solo boiler in the 1980s. Baxi’s popularity continued into the 1990’s, with the now extensive product range becoming more and more popular with customers both at home and abroad.
Today BAXI is one of the leading manufacturers of boilers in Europe and with their focus on quality and efficiency; it is easy to see why they remain at the forefront of the industry.
Popular Baxi Products:
Baxi Combi Boiler
The Gas Combi Boiler range from Baxi can be found in homes up and down the country. Combi boilers provide central heating and hot water from the 1 unit, removing the requirement for an external water tank or unit. Instead the hot water is heated by a heating component within the boiler itself. Waste gases produced by the combustion process within the boiler are then taken outside of the property via the flue.Baxi produce both the Neta-Tec and Duo-Tec2 Combi Boiler ranges.
The Neta-Tec is a High Effiency (HE) boiler that is popular for use in smaller properties (e.g. 1 bedroom flats and apartments) where demand for hot water is lower. It is small and compact and is perfect when space is at a premium.
The Duo-Tec2 is slightly more high spec that the Neta-Tec range and is seen as being more suitable for larger properties where there is a requirement for hot water to go to more water outputs. Both provide highly efficient central heating and hot water solutions and being a Baxi product it is accepted that spare parts are easy to find (should there be a need to) and they are renowned as being easy to service thanks to the easy-to- use control panel.
Both models are Gas Adaptive (GA) models. This means they both provide an even more efficient performance by changing the mix of gas and air during the combustion process when the boiler is in use. Both ranges can feed of the properties gas mains or if you wish you can change to a Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) source at the flick of a switch if required.
The Duo-Tec2 range comes in different 24, 28, 33 and 40 models and the Baxi Neta-Tec High Efficiency Boiler range comes in the 24, 28 and 33 models . Each model type represents the different levels of heat and hot water that they can output and it is important that you choose the right boiler model depending on your properties requirements. You boiler installer should be able to advise.
Baxi System Boilers
System boilersrequire external waters tank to provide hot water and central heating within a property.
They therefore take up more space in the property, but they are popular for servicing larger properties that have a need to provide hot water to a large number of outputs (often with more than 2 bathrooms).
Baxi manufacture the Megaflo HE System Boiler range. The MegaFlow System boiler comes in different models (15, 18, 24, 28 and 32). This therefore enables you to choose the System boiler that best suits the requirements of your property.
